The Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership (SBEP) week took place in Bucharest from 10–12 February 2026. This significant event brought together partners and stakeholders to advance research priorities for sustainable marine and maritime development across Europe.

The agenda covered the joint transnational call mid-term and kick-off meetings, the 2026 Symposium, and a foresight workshop. These sessions allowed for a thorough evaluation of project milestones while mapping out emerging trends in the blue economy sector.

Bioval partners were heavily involved in thematic portfolio discussions centered on sustainable marine algae cultivation. Consortium members shared technical expertise on microalgae valorization, ensuring that project findings contribute to robust and scientific blue food solutions.

The week was also set for meaningful collaboration and high-level knowledge exchange across the global partnership network. This synergy strengthens the consortium’s efforts to deliver innovative solutions for blue feed and food security while building a resilient blue network.
