Kick-off meeting in Naples
BIOVAL held its first Executive Meeting at Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn in Naples on 22–23 October 2025. Partners reviewed work packages, discussed Life Cycle Assessment, data management and risk plans, and strengthened collaboration across the consortium.

SBEP meeting in Bucarest
BIOVAL took part in the Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership (SBEP) week in Bucharest from 10–12 February 2026. The event gathered funded projects for mid‑term and kick‑off meetings, the 2026 Symposium and a foresight workshop, with BIOVAL contributing to discussions on sustainable marine microalgae cultivation and being represented in the Thematic Portfolio ‘Sustainability in Marine Algae Cultivation’.

BIOVAL Selected as a UN Ocean Decade Action
BIOVAL project has been officially endorsed as a UN Ocean Decade Action, recognizing our innovative work in developing sustainable microalgal biorefineries. As part of the Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership, BIOVAL will join a global network dedicated to protecting marine biodiversity and driving economic growth through solvent-free production of food ingredients and aquaculture feed.
